Weak integration of the software
Many isolated solutions
High complexity
Low transparency
Declining competitiveness
Consequences
Inefficient processes
High costs and risks for digitization projects
Missed opportunity for new digital business models
Creating transparency and defining objectives
Our solution
Through the use of our method MetaCre8 ED - Engineering Design we work with your experts to create transparency and identify critical points. Building on this, we support you in defining a target image as a big picture.
Details
The efficient further development of the engineering landscape requires cooperation between experts from specialist departments and central departments such as IT and R&D processes. Due to different ideas and experiences as well as a lack of descriptive tools, people often talk past each other and valuable capacity is destroyed in workshops.
In order to significantly increase the efficiency of collaboration for digitalization, MetaCre8 has developed an engineering framework that classifies the complicated structures and processes in a three-dimensional grid. This initially creates a uniform basic understanding of engineering. In order to make the framework applicable for workshops, the MetaCre8 ED an effective modeling method. With MetaCre8 ED, teams can capture complicated engineering landscapes in a reasonable amount of time, identify critical points and develop a target picture. The result is a poster that abstracts relevant engineering artifacts and processes and serves as a big picture for the digital transformation.
With the help of the Big Picture, engineering activities can be better parallelized and synchronized because it is ensured that the sub-projects fit together. This accelerates the digital transformation.
Improved collaboration also reduces the risk of wrong decisions. Both managers and individual experts are relieved.
Furthermore, recurring patterns and best practices can be identified and applied in all sub-areas. This leads to even greater efficiency in implementation.
